Die Krupps

Die Krupps is a German group of Electronic body music having evolved to the industrial Metal and which was founded in 1980 by Jürgen Engler and Bernward Malaka.

Biography

As of the formation of the group in 1980, Die Krupps will evolve/move in E.B.M. by combining the electronic instruments (Synthétiseurs, Échantillonneurs,…) and of the metal percussions. One of the most famous achievements of the period EBM of Die Krupps is the Tribute to Metallica where titles of Metallica with their own style and to sonorities are taken again only électroniques.
From the album I , left in 1992, Die Krupps will take a turn résoluement industrial Metal while incorporating, in their Electronic music guitars with sonorities very metal grace, in particular, with the participation on this album of both guitarists of the group of Thrash German metal Accuser. This tendency will be confirmed thereafter. At each exit of a new album, the guitars will become more present and at sonorities more metal what will harden to them musique.
gradually After the exit of Paradise Now in 1997, the group will separate. Jürgen Engler will be exiled with the Texas then will form DKAY.com with which it will carry out two albums published in 2000 and in 2002.
Die Krupps will reform in 2005 and will appear, in 2005 and 2006, in major festivals to celebrate the 25 years of the formation of the group.
