Didier Michaux
Didier Michaux is a doctor in Psychologie, Hypnothérapeute French, born in 1944. It is one of the main actors of the development of the contemporary Hypnose in France.
It, devoted indeed the whole of its career to this topic and published many articles within the framework of its research activities to CNRS, in collaboration with Leon Chertok.
Biography
As of his academic works, Didier Michaux wonders about the part played by the suggestion and the state of consciousnesses modified in the processes thérapeutiques.In 1972, it accomplishes a stay of three months study in the USA with Standford, in the laboratory directed by Professor Ernest Hilgard, in Philadelphia in Pensylvania Institute (Dr. Martin Orne) and in Boston in the laboratory directed by T.X. Barber.
It devotes its thesis of Doctorate to the “experimental and clinical aspects of hypnosis” (1982).
From 1975 to 1989, he collaborates with Leon Chertok, French specialist in hypnosis, with many research. He integrates CNRS in 1982 and continues his research activity until 1989 there. Among the topics approached during this research have can quote:

- Memorizing and hypnosis,
- Thermoregulation and hypnosis,
- representations of hypnosis,
Since 1980, Didier Michaux and Leon Chertok propose a formation with hypnosis for the psychologists and the psychiatres.
In 1991, Didier Michaux creates and directs the French Institute of Hypnosis. He then extends the field of the formation to hypnosis with the medical professions and proposes a course of formation to the Hypnoanalgésie and the Hypnosomatique in parallel of the course of Hypnothérapie.
He also supports a plural approach of hypnosis and will be surrounded for this reason of experts specialized in the various theoretical currents of hypnosis: Hypnosis ericksonienne, Hypnoanalyse, hypno-onirism, hypnosis and TCC…
Professor associated with clinic psychology with the University Paris X, it ensures of the lesson in this field of 1991 1998.
In 2003, it organizes the republication of the two texts founders of the Marquis de Puységur: “Memories to be used with the history and the establishment of animal magnetism…” (1784-1785).
In addition, it takes an active part in GEAMH (Grouping for the Study and the Medical applications of Hypnosis), initially as a scientific director (1999-2004), then, as a President (since 2005). It contributes within this framework to the organization of conferences on the topic of hypnosis and directs the publications of the acts of these conferences:
