Didenheim
Didenheim is a common French located in the southern suburbs of Mulhouse. It belongs to the department Haut-Rhin and area Alsace. Its inhabitants is called Didemers. It is located just beside Mulhouse.
Geography
History
Probably occupied since the Neolithic era, the village is quoted as of 796 in a donation with the abbey of Murbach which keeps goods with Didenheim lasting of the centuries. To the 17th century, the village passes to the hands Besenval which make move the fair of St Gall which was held on Gallenberg towards Brunstatt, become the seat of their baronnie. The wars did not éparné the village throughout its history. On Gallenberg set up a church intended for the 3 surrounding villages. It does not exist today any more and was replaced by a vault become goal of walk. The village is bordered by the river Ill. Marie Augustin Zwiller, painter, is originating in the village. One as of its fabrics is exposed in the parish church.
