It is with the ATP of Manchester that it will finally succeed in passing the first turn. With the second turn, it is beaten by the French Cédric Pioline.

The following year, Dick Norman will be focused on the tournaments challengers. At the beginning of the season, it carries out beautiful performances, while reaching by twice the stage of the semi-finals in Jerusalem then with Annenheim. At the end of the year, it fails in quarterfinals Perth.

1995 are the year of its revelation. Unknown of the general public, it will make dream Belgium in Wimbledon. Fished out as a lucky-loser, it profits from the abandonment of Stalemate Cash after the first set to reach the second round and to face Mister Stefan Edberg, a frightening adversary, but then on the downward slope. Norman creates the feeling by carrying it in three small sleeves. It eliminates then Todd Woodbridge before facing Boris Becker in eighth of finale! It carries out a good first set, offering even a ball of first set. He will not manage to concretize it and will be beaten in three handles. Its other results ATP will be less exceptional, it is satisfied to pass the first turn to Rosmalen, Bordeaux and Tokyo. On the other hand, it gains its first title challenger in Newcastle, disputes a final with Garmisch and the semi-finals with Mumbai, and makes its beginnings in Coupe Davis by gaining its two matches the simple ones in Norway.

The following season will be much less good. It passes only once the first turn of a tournament ATP (Saint-Petersbourg), and must be satisfied with a semi-final (Bristol-board) and two quarterfinals (Brominated and Monterrey) as a challenger.

It finds the smile in 1997, with a place in quarterfinals to Antwerp and a third turn with Roland-Garros, whereas it left the qualifications each time. In Germany, he adds two titles challenger to his prize list, Dresden and Neumunster. He also disputes two quarterfinals, in Manchester and Brest.

After one disappointing season 1998, Dick Norman decides, at 27 years, to put an end to its international career.

It will carry out its come-back in 2000. From now on not-classified, it must pass by the qualifications for tournaments future. That succeeds to him. It goes in Poland to take part in it in three future. The three times, it are qualified and it gains even the second and the third after having disputed the quarterfinals of the first. The year starts on right tracks, and Norman will not leave them. Over its impetus, it gains two other tournaments future and disputes several tournaments challengers. At the beginning, it must pass by the qualifications, but that then does not prevent it from rising in quarterfinals in Contrexeville and finally in Brasov. At the end of the season, it still disputes the quarterfinals in Bukhara and Charleroi. In a mid-season, it succeeded in the exploit to go back to the 224e place.

At the beginning of 2001, ambitious, it tries to be qualified for the tournament of Doha and Australian Open. In vain. It then gives the course on the tournaments challengers, where it reaches from the start the final with Lubeck. It gains then with Antwerp and argument the semi-finals in Geneva and the quarters in Birmingham. Meanwhile, it gains also two future in France.

In confidence, Norman aligns the honest performances. In 2002, it is shown particularly regular. It gains 4 titles in the tournaments challengers, it reaches the final in Wolfsburg, the semi-finals with Andrezieux and Lubeck and the quarterfinals in Aachen. In the tread, it finally succeeds in qualifying the US Open one and makes its entry in signal 100 world. With US Open, it goes up a handicap of two sets vis-a-vis Uhlirach to qualify itself for the 2nd turn.

From now on qualified for tournaments ATP, thanks to its good classification, Norman will try there its chance at the beginning of 2003. Malhereusement, an unfavourable drawing lot each time opposes it to too strong adversaries for him, with the image of Carlos Moya in Australian Open. It turns then again to the challengers, but, tired, will fail several times the first turn. It reaches however then the final in Sarajevo, where it will be beaten by Richard Gasquet, and gains in April the tournament challenger of Potosi San Luis for the second time. It is inclined with the first turn in Roland Garros, after being last by the qualifications. The scenario is repeated in Wimbledon, where however Norman arrived in confidence, extremely of a good season on grass, where it had made doubt Hewitt with the third turn of Queen' S. Pis, it is not even qualified for the US Open one. It still takes part in two tournaments ATP in Asia. It is eliminated from little (5/7 - 6/7) after a brilliance match by Ferrero. Then in Tokyo, it carries out a good match again, but is eliminated with the tie break by Srichaphan (6/4-6/7-6/7) at the time of the 2nd turn. Waregemois turns over then on the circuit of the challengers and finishes the season out of ball of gun, aligning a final, a quarter and a semi-final.

Except for quarterfinals in Mexico City, the beginning of the season, 2004 of Norman are calamitous. Almost unable to exceed the second round, even as a challenger, it fails in qualification Roland-Garros as Wimbledon. The summer will not be much better, except for a qualification for Masters of Cincinnati, it loses almost all its matches, and inclines outset with the US qualifications Open one. Norman will save its season on the wire, by gaining the very last challenger of the calendar, in Ischgl, in Austria.

In 2005, Dick does not make displacement in Australia. It begins its season at the end of January, with the challenger of Hull where reaches the semi-finals. It goes then to Belgrade where it finally registers its name with the prize list by beating Jeroen Masson. In March, Dick goes to Mexico where it rises finally at Potosi San Luis and in half in Mexico City City. It takes then share with the success of Belgium in Coupe Davis in Serbia-and-Montenegro by gaining the double at the sides of Kristof Vliegen. The beaten ground is not the best surface of Dick, but he manages nevertheless to rise with the second round with Roland-Garros after being left the qualifications as a lucky-loser. More at ease on the grass, it extirpates qualifications with Halle, where it reaches the second round, and in Wimbledon, where it holds the high dragee in Taylor Dent with the first turn. Its summer unfortunately catastrophic with six defeats of is sharpened as of its entry on the lists, of which with US Open. Whereas its end of season turns to the bérézina, with a thin second round for 8 defeats with the first turn or in the qualifications, Dick returns from nowhere while gaining the large challenger of Dniepropetrovsk, which enables him to find signal 100. Unfortunately, he does not manage to confirm in Luxembourg and must give up the points of his victory with Ishgl in 2004, which is worth to him to arise from signal 100.

The beginning of the season 2006 is marked by a first for Dick Norman: it reaches finally the second round of Australian Open. One needs of them little which it goes even a turn further since he yields only 10/8 to the 5th set vis-a-vis Dominik Hrbatý. Unfortunately, Dick spends time to digest this marathon and loses its 5 following meetings. It joins again with success in Cherbourg where it reaches the quarterfinals. It leaves then for Mexico where it is shown often powerful. 2006 do not derogate from the rule since it reached there a final, two half and a quarterfinal.
