Dick Annegarn

Dick Annegarn , born with $the Hague the May 9th 1952, is a Auteur-compositeur-interprète Dutch, author of songs in French, but also in English, and sometimes in Dutch.

Biography

Dick Annegarn was born in the Netherlands, but its youth proceeded essentially with Brussels, city of which he is citizen of honor.

After having learned the guitar as an autodidact, listening to American discs folks and blues, it went up to Paris in 1972, where it recorded in December 1973 its first disc, which met an immediate public success with songs like Ubu , Brussels , Sacré Géranium … Two others will follow, with another great success, Mireille , and of many rounds.

But the singer wearies this role quickly and rather quickly chooses the way “Underground”, alive on a barge, taking part in community life of the Parisian suburbs, but while not continuing less to record, for example this album in public Ferraillages in 1979 (of which it divides the poster with the legendary bluesman Robert Pete Williams), or Frères in 1985, one of the four jewels of his collaboration with the saxophonist Jean Avocat and the accordionist Richard Galliano.

It is only in November 1997, with the album Approche , that it reappears on the front of the scene.

In 2006, the disc the Important diner , subtitle Tribute in Dick Annegarn , brings together artists like Alain Souchon, Alain Bashung, Arno Hintjens, Louis Chédid, - m, Mathieu Boogaerts, Bertrand Belin or Bénabar, each one beginning again of the songs of Dick in homage to its career of more than 30 years.

It currently resides in the south-west of France, with Laffite-Toupière.
