Dibaji

Dibaji is a district in the north of Teheran in the district of Gheytarieh.

Often referring to Ekhtiyarieh or South Dibaji, Dibaji is located mainly length Dibaji Street and is referred to a sector surrounding the street south from Sadr Expressway goal north off Pasdaran Avenue and Kolahdooz Avenue.

Dibaji is a Banlieue and consists mainly of modest houses and middle-classes, Appartement S as well as of the scattered shops. In contrast with several of the smart districts and flashy which entourrent it (like Farmanieh and Shemiran), Dibaji is known to be modest and monk.

The zone is centered around Park Dibaji, and the district is generally regarded as one of the greenest zones of Teheran and surest.

History

The landowner of this aristocrat named Saheb Ekhtiyar, and it is of its name that Ekhtiyarieh draws its origin, which could roughly Be translated ace the place belonging to, but related to Ekhtiyar .

In 1970, the majority of Dibaji were built and in 1990 the Sadr Expressway was built along its northern limit under development.
