Diaversal process

The proceeded Diaversal de Gevaert , disappeared today, made it possible to obtain monochromic pullings since Diapositive S color, without passing by internégatif.

It was about an automatic process of inversion per use of a special Papier with double-layer: the roadbase, a standard emulsion, and the sub-base, to which part of the money not developed of the roadbase is transmitted at the time of a bath known as of inversion.

The process included/understood the following baths:

  1. developer in revealing normal: is formed an negative image on the surface of the emulsion
  2. bath of inversion and transfer for formation of an positive image under the first image
  3. washing to tepid water to make disappear the negative image (friction with sponge)
  4. bath from turn for reinforcement of the positive image (it is about a process of turn for black and white paper traditional)
  5. short washing (the image is not fixed in Hyposulfite).

This process runs (about seven minutes) is not used more.
