Diane Barrier-Desseigne

Diane Barrier-Desseigne was a businesswoman, born the January 9th 1957 with Paris, deceased the May 18th 2001 of the continuations of an air crash. She directed the Groupe Lucien Barrière, with died of her adoptive father Lucien Barrière, of 1991 to 1995.

She married the April 7th 1984 with Dominique Desseigne, notary.

She made her studies with the Capron college, with Cannes, then at the university of Paris-Dauphine. She is titular of a control of finances and taxation.

Biography

Diane Barrier-Desseigne succeeds her adoptive father Lucien Barrière, with died of this last, in 1991, with the head of the Groupe Lucien Barrière. She successfully continues the policy of her predecessors.

In 1995, 38 years old, Diane Barrière is victim the July 16th of a dramatic air crash. Its twin-engine Beechcraft Baron B55 breaks down from fuel, is crushed and exploded by touching the ground in the Marais poitevin. It is extirpated in extremis its plane in flames by two witnesses of the drama, but it is seriously wounded and burned on all the body. It is only survivor of the accident.

In spite of the very many ones and long operations, it remains Tétraplégique, condemned to the wheel chair with life, invalidates to 100%, in prey with terrible sufferings and always lucid until its death on May 18th, 2001.
