Diana Gabaldon
Diana Gabaldon (January 11th 1952, in Arizona) is a American novelist of Mexican origin and anglaise.
She wrote the popular series the Thistle and Tartan . Its novels are rather difficult to classify by kind since they borrow so much from the romantic novel (love story) that with the historical novel and the science fiction (in the form of the voyage in time). Its first tests of writing were posted on the forum of writing of CompuServe. Positive returns on behalf of other members of the forum persuaded it to finish and publish the first novel of the series the Thistle and Tartan . The novels of this series are centered around Claire, an English nurse of the 20th century which travels in time and of her Jamie husband, a Scottish warrior of the 18th century. The history besides is generally told from the point of view of Claire. The series Lord John Grey is a spinoff (a derived series) of the preceding one and takes again the adventures of one of the supporting characters appearing in several volumes.
