Diamonds are eternal is a British film of the series of the James Bond, incarnated by Sean Connery, left in 1971.
Synopsis
James Bond, secret agent of Great Britain, inquires into the diamond disappearance in South Africa. All lets believe that one tries to constitute important stocks. Its investigation will lead it Netherlands to the the United States, and will make him face once more its sworn enemy, Blofeld.

- This film is the last appearance of Sean Connery in the role of James Bond at EON Productions. It returned however in 1983 in Jamais never again , produced by another company.
- Charles Gray, which interprets the role of Blofeld (the sworn enemy of Jump) had already appeared in One saw only twice where he played the part of Dikko Henderson, a liaison officer of the British secret services.
- One will retain some scenes of interesting actions: a continuation in Ford Mustang and another in the lunar vehicle.
- nicknames of both " méchantes" (in original version), " Bambi" and " Thumper" (" Side-pan"), are inspired by the original version of the feature film of animation of Walt Disney, Bambi (1942).
- the escape of Jump in the decorations of lunar surface refer to the theory of the conspiracy according to which the true lunar landings were factitious.
- Like described the Broccoli in " When the snow melts", one of the major intrigues of film was inspired to him by a dream. Whereas the film was only with its development, Broccoli dreamed that it returned visit in Howard Hugues and discovered that it was replaced by an impostor. The scenario writers Richard Maibaum and Tom Mankiewicz seized the idea for script.
- Several actresses were considered for the role of Tiffany Case, of which Raquel Welch, Jane Fonda or Faye Dunaway. When a Broccoli friend suggested Jill St John for a small role, the realizer Guy Hamilton found it ideal for that of Tiffany.
- the moon buggy which uses Bond at the time of its escape from the den from Whyte in the desert, was found given up, twenty years later, by James Bond Fan Club.
