Privatization

The privatization of the German post office was done by stage:
  • 2002, privatized to 32%.
  • 2003, privatized to 37,4%.
  • 2004, changed to 43,9%.
  • 2005, changed to 55,3%.

History

is the new name of Deutsche Post since its total partial privatization then.
  • 1998, repurchases Danzas, undertaken Swiss of international transport.
  • 1998, repurchases Postbank, German public bank.
  • 1998/2002, repurchases DHL.
  • 2000, takes offiellement the name of
  • 2002-2004, Plan Star which must make it possible to increase the benefit of 700 million euros in 3 years. Objective achieved in 2 years thanks to the suppression of many employment including 1.200 only in France (135.000 employment had already been removed between 1990 and 2001 in all the group).
  • 2003, repurchases Loomis with the Canada and Airborne with the the United States, Ducros euro express train, undertaken French of transport, Sinotrans (5% of the Chinese government enterprise).
  • 2004, distributes the mail in Great Britain via its subsidiary company Global Email which had repurchased the London company Speedmail International.
  • 2004, repurchases Koba in France.
  • 2005, repurchases Exel logistics, 2nd world logistician (5,5 milliars of euros), the logistic park of Karstadt-Which (5 billion euros over 10 years).
  • at the end of 2007, fine of the German monopoly on the mail.

Following the repurchase of the world leader of logistics Exel, is restructured once again:
  • total DHL email for the mail.
  • DHL Exel supplay chain for logistics.
