Deus Ex: Invisible War
Deus Ex: Invisible War is a Video game mixing infiltration, roleplay and objective shooting developed by Ion Storm, left on PC and XB in 2004.
History of the development
Invisible War is the continuation of the play Deus Ex. If this first opus had been regarded by the critics as one of the best plays ever created, the sales were not with the height of this enthusiasm. The development team thus decided to make this continuation more accessible to the general public by many simplifications compared to the original Gameplay.
Synopsis
The history proceeds several years after the first opus and the references are very numerous there. In fact, it is preferable to have finished Deus Ex to arrive to seizing well all the scenario, rather tortuous.
Gameplay
The play takes again the bases of its predecessor by always mixing several kinds but goes much less further in this cohabitation. In particular for the aspect roleplay which is amputee of its system of profit of Point of experiment and whose management of Inventaire is quite less. Also, to correspond to technical capabilities of the consoles, the levels are considerably more reduced, with more screens of loading, which feels in the liberty of action praised so much by the first opus.
Criticisms
In spite of a scenario pushed following the example first episode, the radical simplification of the gameplay disappointed most of the players. Shown finger like the typical example of the play to the concept wastes, victim of the influence of the Marketing and of the general public, it became a new source of cleavage between players PC and the players console.
In spite of this bearing comforts, the sales will however not reach discounted success. Probalement because the play arises neither sufficiently simple for the public comforts, nor sufficiently complex for the nostalgic ones of Deus e.g.
