Detrital rock
A detrital rock is a Sedimentary rock made up of at least 50 % of remains. If the remains result from the erosion others Roche S, then it is qualified detrital rock terrigenous . If on the contrary the remains are formed by skeletons of living organisms then the rock is described as biodetritic .
The terrigenous detrital rocks represent between 80 and 90 % of the sedimentary rocks.
