Deterioration or physical depreciation is one of the three elements of Dépréciation of the Immeuble S, the others being the functional Désuétude (or obsolescence) and the economic Désuétude.

Deterioration is the loss in value of a building caused by the age and material wear. It can be corrigible (a roof to be replaced) or incorrigible (normal ageing).
