Det Som Engang VAr

Det Som Engang Var is the second album of Burzum. It was recorded in April 1992 (before the EP Aske, although this one left afterwards) and is published the proper label of Varg Vikernes, Cymophane (original pulling vinyl limited to 950 copies). The album was republished however later on at Misanthropy in 1994. The Norwegian title is translated into French by " What fut". The song " Det som in gang VAr, " with a different orthography, appears on the following album, Hvis Lyset Tar Os.

The album was to be initially called På Svarte Troner , but Varg Vikernes chose the current title finally.

The cover (painted by Jannicke the Wiese-Hansen) is inspired by " The Temple off Elemental Evil" : a handbook of Advanced Dungeon & Dragons.
