Destruction (group)

Destruction is a German group of Thrash founded metal in 1982 with Lörrach, (south of Germany). It is one of the three great names of the thrash teuton often indicated together under the name of " big three off teutonic thrash metal". He is generally regarded as the first German group of thrash and he had a great influence on the thrash.

History

The group in the beginning was called off Knight Demon. But they changed their name at the end of a few weeks. In the beginning they played in a style close to Iron Maiden, but in the space of a few weeks they evolved to an esthetics more largely influenced by Venom. Destruction recorded a demonstration in 1984 off heading Bestial invasion Hell In 1990, Schmier is transfered and they ask Flemming Ronsdorf (Artillery) to join Destruction like new singer. But this one refuses because, according to him the recording company does not want to pay it before the next round.

In 1999, the group is reformed with the return of Schmier and a new beater, Marc Reign.
