Desterro Clube Rugby
The Desterro Rugby Clube is a Brazilian club based with Florianópolis capital of the State of Santa Catarina with the Brésil. The club of Rugby to XV currently takes part in the more high level of the Brazilian Championnat of Rugby to XV with brilliances results these last years.
History
In 1994, a group of young people gathers around Portuguese Miguel Caçote who had practiced Rugby with XV of many years.In 1995 the club of Desterro is founded, Mr. Aurélio Zimmermann is the first president and Argentinian Carlos Gomis is the new technical framework of the team. They thus integrate in 1995 the Brazilian Fédération of Rugby into XV, Associação Brasileira de Rugby.
In 1996 Desterro takes part for the first time in the Campeonato Brasileiro de Rugby and it obtains already its first title, while being essential against a frightening adversary Bandeirantes de São Paulo, by 24 to 21.
Four years later, in 2000, Desterro reiterates this success, desta carrying it against São Jose Rugby Clube of São Jose back Campos, and a new title crowns the year 2005, with a new victory over the team of São Jose back Campos, of the state of São Paulo.
