Desilu Productions
Desilu Productions is a production company of American television which was created by the actors Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. Desilu produced the traditional ones such as Star Trek , The Andy Griffith Show , Mission impossible and I Coils Lucy .
The first studios of Desilu were located on Cahuenga Boulevard at Hollywood, on the site which corresponds today to the studio Ren-Mar. It is in these studios that the first episode of I was turned Coils Lucy . In 1956, the company repurchased the studios of RKO and installed its productions there.
Following the divorce of the couple in 1962, Ball repurchased the shares of Arnaz in the company. In 1967, the company was resold with Gulf+Western which amalgamated it with another of its companies: Paramount Pictures. Today, the catalog of Desilu belongs to the conglomerate of media Viacom.
