Desfontainia

Desfontainia is a kind of plant of the family of the Loganiaceae , or Desfontainiaceae according to phylogenetic classification.

It includes/understands at least a species, Desfontainia spinosa Ruiz & VAP. According to certain authors, one second is also mentioned: Desfontainia splendens Bonpl.

Desfontainia spinosa is a Arbuste with Feuille S persistent, opposed, spine use, with final Fleur recluse with long Corolle tubular orange, originating in the tropical Andean areas of South America until the Costa Rica.
