Dermatomyosite

The dermatomyosite is a disease classified in the family of the Myopathie S.

It is about an inflammatory disease of unknown origin.

There is no age nor of preferential sex.

Cause:

Unknown. Immunological?

Signs of discovered:

Fall of the muscular force, being able to involve falls
muscular Pain, particularly with the root of the muscles, being able to obstruct the ocular swallowing or movements.
Joint pains
Palpitations
Rednesses in wings of butterfly on the chest and in the back, tasks on the face

Diagnosis:

muscular Electromyogram
Biopsy
Rise in the muscular enzymes
No increase in the Sedimentation test, contrary to the polymyosites

Treatment:

Corticothérapie with the long course
