Derecho at the canado-American border

The Derecho at the canado-American border known also under the term “ Boundary Waters Blowdown ” is a line of intense storms which broke since the Dakota S until the Golfe of Maine while passing all along the canado-American border between the morning of July 4th, 1999 and early the morning of the 5.

This Derecho is most Scandinavian of the progressive type (or hot season) ever brought back. It made five died and nearly seventy wounded. More: 700000 subscribers lost electricity, some up to one week. The damage caused by the wind with the trees, houses and other structures rose with more than 100 million $US (of 1999).

Hydro-Quebec reports that: 600000 people lost the current in Quebec, some up to one week
