Mitsukoshi Co (株式会社三越 - Kabushiki-gaisha Mitsukoshi), an international department store, was founded in 1673. Its head office is with Tōkyō. The Mitsui group comes from Mitsukoshi.

Takashimaya Co., Ltd, are a Japanese large chain of department store. Founded in 1829 in Kyōto by Iida Shinshichi as a retailer of clothing used and cotton, the store now has exits in the whole of Japan and also in New York, Taïpeh, Paris and Singapore. The store in Paris is located along the Boulevard Haussmann, in the 9 {{E}}. The store in Singapore is located on Orchard Road, the principal commercial artery.
