Department of Tambacounda

The department of Tambacounda is one of the three departments of the area of Tambacounda (Senegal).

Its chief town is the town of Tambacounda.

At the time of the census of December 2002, the population was of 310.359 inhabitants. In 2005, it was estimated at 342.204 people.
