Santa Anna is a department which is in the west of El El Salvador. Its Chief town is Santa Anna.

General information

Two big lakes are partly in the department of Santa Anna. The lake of Güija close to Metapán and the lake of Coatepeque in the east of the department.

The volcano Santa Anna is located in this department.

It is also the Arts center of the tribes Maya-Quiche.
