Department of Nueva Segovia

The department of Nueva Segovia (in Spanish: be Departamento de Nueva Segovia ) is one of the 15 departments Nicaragua. It is wide on: 3123 km ² and have a population of: 211200 hab. (estimate 2005). Its capital is Ocotal.

Geography

The department is bordering:

in the west and north, of the republic of the Honduras;
in the east and south-east, of the department of Jinotega;
in the south and south-west, of the department of Madriz.
