The department of Concepción (in Spanish: be Departamento de Concepción ) is one of the 17 departments of the Paraguay. Its code ISO 3166-2 is PY-1.

Geography

The department is bordering:
  • in north, the Brazil, of the State of the Mato Grosso C Sul;
  • in the east, of the department of Amambay;
  • in the south, of the department of San Pedro;
  • in the west, of the department of President Hayes;
  • in the North-West, of the department of the Viola Paraguay.

Subdivisions

The department is subdivided in seven districts:
  1. Belén
  2. Concepción
  3. Horqueta
  4. Loreto
  5. San Carlos
  6. San Lázaro
  7. Yby Yaù
