Deo optimo maximo
See also: DOM
Deo optimo maximo or DOM is a currency Latin E which means “with very good God, very large”. One very frequently finds it on the Christian tomb stones and the frontage of the churches. It is inspired by a pagan formula, Jove optimo maximo or JOM, that is to say “in Jupiter very good, the very large one”.
