Dental plaque

The dental plaque is a substance blanchâtre which settles on the surface of the Dent. It primarily consists of Bactérie S, as well as Substrat S generated by these last.

Origin

Many a Bactérie S is present usually in Bouche and settles continuously on the surface of the teeth, by Adsorption. They initially form the exogenic film acquired, in a few minutes after brushing. Gradually the thickness of bacteria increases and a substrate generated by these last appears, thus is formed the dental plaque.

Gradually the dental plaque will be mineralized and become tartar.

Elimination

The goal of the brushing of the teeth is to eliminate this dental plaque (inter alia). It should progressively be eliminated from its formation. It should persist no deposit on the teeth at the end of brushing.

Diseases

The dental plaque is responsible for the majority of the diseases parodontales.

The bacteria of the plate, being foreign bodies at the organization, will cause a immunizing defense. It is the Gingivite, which will evolve/move in Parodontite if nothing is done.
