Denominazione di Origine Protetta or DOP (“denomination of protected origin”) is the label Italy N corresponding to the Appellation of controlled origin (AOC) French.
This label enters within the framework of the European protection of names Protected Designation off Origin (PDO, is “protected Label of origin”).
