Policy
During the time of K. Schweri, Denner will be characterized by an active fight against the overrated prices (Denner is often regarded as the ancestor of the hardware-discounters in Switzerland) and the trusts of producers: the company will succeed, through arm wrestling, to lead the trust of the beer producers to dissolution in 1991; the following year, it is with the turn of the trust of the tobacco to dissolve. But the combat of Denner are not limited to the economic sphere: having lost a lawsuit at the federal court against the FIST (Federation of the Swiss industry of the tobacco) in 1983, Denner launches a popular initiative for the consumer protection. It is the first of a long list of engagements of Denner on the Swiss political scene. This one will continue during all the period " Schweri" , but will étiolera itself gradually under the impulse of P. Gaydoul. Consequently, Denner centres its efforts on the commercial scene, its last " blow of éclat" being the confrontation, at the summer 2006, against Nestlé around a raising of prices of the Chocolate To curdle that the distributer judges exaggerated and unjustified.
