Following the Turkish opening of 1071, “akıncı” Turkmènes settle with its accesses, which generates conflicts with the Byzantines not allowing a suitable development of the city, which also sees passing under its walls the crusaders of Frederic Barberousse. Passed quickly under domination seldjoukide, the city becomes a prerogative of the beys de Germiyan when the empire seldjoukide declines. The occupation and Othoman integration will put definitively fine at the disorders, but the city will not be able to take a dash thereafter and will remain to the republic “a little more but one village” according to the proper terms of Atatürk.
