Denis River

Denis Rivière is a French painter born in 1945 with Honfleur. He lives and works in Paris and in Aisne

Traditional painter of formation, Denis Rivière expressed his interest by antiquity. A voyage in Egypt gave him the desire for recalling certain images with its manner.

Denis River, more recently, was caught of a passion for the subtleties offered by the ciels.

" My project was to draw up the report of the sky, during all the penultimate year of the century, from January 1st, 1999 to January 1st, 2000. Each day, per hour which seemed to me most favourable, whatever the quality of time and the place when I was, I painted the sky such as I it voyais." Denis River
