Denis Kessler

Denis Kessler (born the March 25th 1952 with Mulhouse), was vice-president of the MEDEF, is currently president of the group Scor. Graduate of HEC, it began a career of academic in economy, taking an active share with emergence in France of the debate on the “end of the retirements”, in collaboration with Dominique Strauss-Kahn, one of the former professors with HEC, or André Masson. He became president of the French federation of the insurance companies (FFSA) then, vice-president of MEDEF, symbolizing the increase in the weight of the sector of the insurances in employers' association. Promoted in 1997 international director of Axa and right-hand man of his president Claude Bébéar, it is laid off at the end of sixteen months. It defends a total dismantling of the French social protection system as it entrusted to the magazine Challenges in October 2007: “the list of the reforms? It is simple, take all that was set up between 1944 and 1952, without exception”.
