Dendrobatidae
The family Dendrobatidae was created by Edward Drinker Cope (1840-1897) in 1865.
It gathers several kind S localized of the Nicaragua to the Amazonian basin of the Bolivia, Guyanes (Suriname, Guyana and Guyana) and of the south-east of the Brésil.
The majority of the members of this family secrete on their skin an extremely powerful toxin, the Batrachotoxine. It very announce to their environment their high toxicity by colors sharp.
