Demography of Pakistan
The population of the Pakistan always knows a quasi explosive growth, in spite of a progressive fall of her fruitfulness. According to INED, with 31 ‰, birth rate remains constant and higher than that of its Indian neighbor (24 ‰), while the natural rate of increase reaches 2,3% annually, that is to say nearly 4.000.000 additional people per annum. At the end of June 2007, the population of the country was estimated at 169 300 000 inhabitants.
It is provided that the population of the country will reach 229 million inhabitants in 2025 (ref.: ), that is to say " seulement" an about sixty million more than in 2007, which implies a continuation of the fall of the fruitfulness of the country.
