Delme is a common French located in the department of the the Moselle. Its inhabitants are called the delmois .
Geography
- It is located on the axis Metz - Strasbourg, at equal distance from Metz and Nancy, is roughly 30 to 35 km.
- It is distant from about 15 km of the regional airport, and in fact at a similar distance from station TGV Is.
History
- At the time Gallo-Roman, Delme is mentioned on the Table of Peutinger under the name AD Duodecimum (To the twelfth limits). It was a station on the road of Metz to Strasbourg. Its name is derived from the position: twelve romanized Gallic miles ( Leucae Duodecim of Metz).
