Dellys

Dellys is an Algerian small town at the edge of the Mediterranean and chief town of will daïra in the east of the wilaya of Boumerdes. On a regional plan, although it is relatively very small compared to Béjaia, it is, behind this one, the second port of the Kabylie. The main activities remain the fishing and the small shop of proximity.

One identified it with the antique Rusucurru ( Rusuccuro or Rusucurum , in Greek Pουσουκκόρου ) in competition with Tigzirt.

In the night from September 8th to 9th 2007, two attacks, asserted thereafter by Al-Qaida, strike Dellys and Batna and make at least 52 dead and 147 wounded.
