Deliberative democracy

The principal common idea of the deliberative Démocratie , inspired by the theories of John Rawls, is that the company is democratic when the decisions are made by the public deliberation of all its members.

According to Charles BONZI and Thibaud CARRIER: 2 large intellectuals, in their works " democracy: a solution? " (published in 2007 edition folio), the deliberation can allow a cancellation of the major conflicts of the problems of not expressed minority. Moreover as they affirm it in their preceding book " the deliberative democracy, that tears! "

According to Herve Pourtois, the condition of argumentation, i.e. the process which aims at choosing the best argument in favor of a thesis, and the condition of participation, which makes it possible to make recognize various moral points of sights on a question, are essential with the ideal of the deliberative democracy. Indeed, for him, the origin of the dissensions comes less from the differences in values between members of the group than of the differences in significance of the social practices. On this point it is placed besides in dissension with Rawls.
