The dehydration is the loss (that it is complete or partial) of water of a body. In Medicine, it represents the contraction of one or more liquid sectors of the organization, consecutively with varied metabolic anomalies. It is generally total (concerning at the same time the sector intracellular and extracellular), but it can also be confined with one of these sectors, in particular at the beginning of evolution. It is a frequent Syndrome but which can be serious, because it involves a risk of Collapsus (shock hypovolemic) when it is severe.
In period of dehydration, the Urine is darker, which is a simple criterion making it possible to consider (but not to measure in a reliable way and specifies) the state of dehydration possible of a subject.
Quantity has to drink: 40 ml per kg of body mass. Half is brought by food and other half by liquid. Therefore, 20ml per kg. It is necessary to add has that 1liter per hour of constant physical exercise. Example: I am tennis player and I have a mass of 140 lb. My weight in kg: 63.6. Thus I will have to drink per day 1.2 minimum liter and if I play during 2 hours, I will have to drink 3.2 liters.
