Dehomag

Dehomag , Acronyme of Deutsche Hollerith-Maschinen Gesellschaft mbH (“German Company of the Hollerith machines” in French) was a German company , Filiale and Franchise from IBM. The German name Hollerith refers to their technology of machines with perforated cards, which was developed towards 1890 by the enquiring German American éponyme Hermann Hollerith for U.S. Census Bureau (Bureau of the Census of the United States).

January 8th 1934, Dehomag opened a factory of Mécanographie in Lichterfelde, district of Berlin. With the official unveiling of the factory, were Rudolf Schmeer, representing the Deutsche Arbeitsfront, and Arthur Görlitzer, celebrity of the party Nazi which represented the Sturmabteilung.

Since this date, Dehomag provided the technology Hollerith to the {{IIIe}} Reich of Adolf Hitler, allowing a fast industrial renewal for rearmament and a reduction in the Chômage. This technology also largely facilitated the realization of the Final solution by the mode Nazi.

The list of the customer S was impressive in the majority of the economic sectors: Driving S of Plane S, Carboniferous S, Chemicals, electricals appliance, motor vehicles, Naval construction, Railroads /autobus/tramways, companies of Insurance S, Bank S, Public services, Iron and steel, Turbine S engines and Tractor S.
