Defloration
see also: Etymology of Defloration
The defloration (of Latin deflorare = to remove the flower), called familiarly defloration , is the tear of the hymen following the penetration of the Pénis in the Vagin. It can involve a pain or a bleeding, or both, but this tear always does not take place, since the hymen always presents an elastic opening which allows the flow of the menstrual blood and by which the penis can often pass without damaging it.
The defloration was considered through times and the cultures like an significant event and one often identifies it with the entry of the woman déflorée in the married life or at least like the end of his childhood.
