Definite state
In Thermodynamique one calls definite state of a system, a state characterized by a small number of relevant parameters or coordinated thermodynamic. For example, a mole of gas taken with balance under the normal conditions of temperature and pressure is in a definite state. A state of balance of a simple system is always a defined state, while the Réciproque is false. An oscillator consisted a mass suspended with a spring evolves/moves adiabatically, the length, the temperature of the spring are at any moment defined, but the system is not balances some in the field of gravity. A system in a definite state can be represented by a figurative Point in a diagram of state.
