Deficit
The term deficit (resulting from the Latin : deficit , it misses) is employed in a more general way, to indicate an insufficiency of resources compared to identified needs. One speaks thus at our time about “democratic deficit” to criticize certain political measurements. It is a used term also in Médecine, for example in immunizing Déficit.
In economy, the term deficit is often employed to indicate the deficit of the Budget of the State (budget deficit) or of the deficit of the Public administrations.
In Accounts Department
In Accounts Department, a deficit , or a loss or negative Balance, is, contrary to a Bénéfice, a negative monetary variation due to:
- of the expenditure and others Cost S (load S accountants)
- higher than receipts and others produced S accountants .
These two countable shutters consist:

is in simple flows of withdrawals or cashings, like in the case of
- the Public accounts (Budget deficit)
- and of the National accounting (deficit of the commercial Balance…),

is, like in the case of the Income statement of a company, in:
- of the real receipts (boxed invoices) and of the calculated produced (invoices to be boxed, loads paid in advance)
- of the real expenditure (paid purchases) and of the calculated costs (depreciation, provisions, invoices to be paid, not invoiced loads…)
