Defense and international safety

Defense and international safety ( DSI ) is the main thing Magazine monthly French specialized in the questions of Défense, of Géostratégie and of armament S. It was created and is directed by Alexis Bautzmann, his assistant editor association being Joseph Henrotin.

Its publication is carried out in general at the beginning of the month. DSI is available in France, in Belgium, in Morocco, in Canada, in Germany, in Austria, in Italy, in Greece, in Portugal and in Switzerland. DSI is drawn each month with 50.000 specimens approximately, the assistantship being estimated, according to the plates of presentation, with 120.000 people. It is also available on the Web site of the editor.

Launched in February 2005, it is posed like one of the rare magazines in French language on the subject and, more generally, is regarded as level largely equal to best re-examined in English. The level of language used makes it also accessible to the non-specialists even if knowledge of bases is necessary for perfectly seizing the tackled subjects.

Each number includes/understands five great parts. A part Safety explaining the various threats (economic, terrorist,…), a part Armed forces describing a foreign army, a heading Units devoted to a French unit or foreign setting with the honor in the number, a part Technology and Armement describing a system of weapon (artillery, armoured tank, submarines, ground-to-air defense,…) and supplemented by data sheets and finally Economy devoted to the economy of defense. A system of days before (terrorism, géostratégie, technology) more than cash one hundred the short ones supplements it. The magazine also presents from 2 to 4 criticisms of reading per month.

The magazine calls upon many French and foreign experts, through articles or of interviews. Seeming to anchor itself in no political current, Defense and international safety is thus regarded as with the avant-garde of the strategic questions, while offering basic reflections to the reader. So its analyzes are frequently advances some on release of crises (case of Somalia treated well before the Ethiopian offensive of 2007 qu ' it will be the only one to analyze in extenso, Lebanon, Thailand) or in the analyzes given (case of Iraq in 2007, Chinese White paper on defense).

Defense and international safety is published under the scientific control of the Center of analysis and forecast of the international risks (CAPRI).
