Def Leppard
Def Leppard is a British group of Hard rock originating in Sheffield. The group was born from the duet of the buddies Pete Willis and Rick Savage. Then came Rick Allen and Joe Elliott in October 1977. Their repertory included/understood recoveries (Bowie, Black Sabbath). Admiring of Thin Lizzy they take again " Misty dreamer" and rehabilitate it in " Sorrow is the woman" on their first album. Belonging to the New Wave Off British Heavy Metal of the end of the Years 1970 with Iron Maiden or Saxon, this group is one of the creators of the modern hard rock. With more than thirty million sold discs, it was one of most popular Années 1980, although the tragedy marked its course: its beater lost its left arm in an car accident on December 31st, 1984 and one of its guitarists has deceased of a simultaneous alcohol catch and antidepressants in 1991. In 1992, they made a appartion in Freddy Mercury Tribute, and repeat in caritative concerts with an appearance on the Philadelphian scene of the " Live 8 " in 2005 (reiteration of the phenomenon Live Aid of 1985).
