Dee Nasty

Daniel Bigeault better known under the name of Dee Nasty is a DJ French born in 1961. In 1979, during a stay in the United States, Dee Nasty discovers the beginnings of the hip-hop, with the Graffiti, the Breakdance and the funk stressed like that of Sugarhill Gang.

It is known since 1982 to have worked on pirate radio station with the rappor Lionel D. Towards the end of the year 1984, it leaves the album Paname city painter , own-produced. With the back of the small pocket, Dee Nasty had left its personal phone number (what proves the containment of the French rap, considered, after the setting in light operated by the organizer Sidney in its emission H.I.P H.O.P in 1983-1984, like already exceeded!), untraceable disc today. First album of French and practically single rap representing rap old school in France with the title, inter alia, Subway scratchin , which is a good description of the beginnings of the French culture hip-hop, only represented up to that point by the graffiti and the breakdance.

Thereafter, it is made known of a larger audience in 1985 by organizing the challenges hip-hop waste ground of the Vault (district), while inserting flyers (small leaflets) in the small pockets of the American discs funk and hip-hop. It is at the sessions of this waste ground, or were represented five arts of the hip-hop (graffiti, breakdance, DJing, MCing, beatbox) which will begin the future NTM or Assassin. Member of the Universal Zulu Nation, it made the first part of the French round of Afrika Bambaataa - one of the fathers of the musical hip-hop with Grandmaster Flash and DJ Kool Herc -. Often leaving maximum, like Deenastyle n°1 in 1987 or So Funky/Bulge in 1989, it is not very prolix in album. Venerated today by many rappeurs and disc jokeys of the hexagon, it is him which made known, in particular, NTM, Assassin; Timid and without complex or IAM while launching these groups on radio operator Nova. Giving up MCing (left vocal the hip-hop, scansion of text) dice 1984, after its first album it is devoted since exclusively to DJing (left musical the rap, resting mainly on the handling of vinyls). It took part in 1999 in the album “Doubles H DJ Crew” of Cut Killer.
