Dede
The dede , literally Turkish “grandfather” in , is the religious leader and spiritual of the Alévisme.
The dede is the representative of a Ocak (hearth). To be dede it is obligatorily necessary to go down from the Prophète thus to be a Seyyid .
It is also often called baba (in Turkish, “father”).
