Dedalus

Dedalus or Portrait of the artist as an young man ( has Portrait off the Artist ace has Young Man ), work of James Joyce is an almost complete rewriting of the abandoned news Stephen the hero , whose original manuscript was destroyed in an access of anger during an argument with Nora. This novel is largely autobiographical, it shows the process which makes it possible an young man to reach the maturity and the self-awareness. The main character is Stephen Dedalus, the alter ego of Joyce itself. In this novel, certain features of future works of Joyce are apparent like the use of the stream of consciousness and the relationship with the psychical reality rather than reality external with the subject.

Joseph Strick put in scene the book at the cinema in 1977 with Luke Johnston, Bosco Hogan, T.P. McKenna and John Gielgud.
