Decline of the American empire

the Decline of the American empire is a film Québécois, carried out in 1986 by Denys Arcand.

The author gave one following this film in 2003, the cruel Invasions , that is to say 17 years later and always with same the eight main actors.

Synopsis

Four men and four women, academics with Montreal, must find themselves for the weekend in a country house. In this one, the men prepare the meal, while at the university, the women find themselves in the sporting installations. During the hours which precede their meeting again, they exchange on their life, especially from the sexual point of view.

The discussions which continue during the meal and which is followed from there until the small hour will bring their batch of reflections, discoveries, revelations, shocks. The come morning, the situation will have almost returned to the normal.
