Decazeville is a city of the department French of the Aveyron (12) and area the Midday-Pyrenees. It was created with the XIXe century under the impulse of the Industrial revolution and owes its name with Élie Decazes, industrial founder of the factory at the origin of the city.

History

The city and the name are recent: the place was called before the Room (in Occitan Salted It), which indicates to the Moyen-âge a strong house of small noblesse.
